Recommended hotel in Saint Petersburg, Rusia

After spending a couple of days in Moscow, I did also traveled to Saint Petersburg because it’s well known as one of the most beautiful destinations in Russia.

In Saint Petersburg I chose Bigland Hostel. This hostel looks exactly as what people described in their reviews.

Bigland hostel also gave me a good experience during my stay. There are plenty bars, clubs and restaurants here so you won’t get starved at night and you should try CANTEEN. The most affordable restaurant I’ve ever tried in Saint Petersburg.

Located in Bolshaya konyushennaya street, Bigland hostel is in a very strategic area, everything is close by and in short walking distance if you want to visit many historical places such as the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Kazan Cathedral, Winter palace and other places. Groceries is also close by if you need anything.

Note: Keep in mind that you can’t by beer or alcoholic beverages after 10:00 PM even if they are still open.

My sweet breakfast at Canteen - as I mention above

Ambiance:
Homey and classic. The staff are also friendly and helpful, they gave us lots of information and recommendations when we get there.

The price is way cheaper compared to Moscow hostels. You won’t regret if you choose to stay here.

The view from the Pantry - I love this beautiful view.

The only thing I’m concerned with this hostel is the bathroom, they only have one bathroom in every dorm, so you need to be patient if you want to take a shower and it’s very small. I hope that they provide another shared bathroom so we don’t have to wait too long for our turn.

Overall I would recommend Bigland Hostel if you’re planning on going to Saint Petersburg.
