TAKOYAKI (たこ焼き) &
OKONOMIYAKI (お好み焼き)

If you're happen to Japan, make sure you have time to visit Osaka, as one of my favorite destination to spend all my Y (yen) even just for one day, LOL. But belive me, at least you need 2D1N to explore this shopping city paradise. I jump into the shinkansen around 9 am from kyoto to Osaka and arrived around 11 am, so it's the perfect time for lunch and make a list of my itenarary then I can share it to you all. I've been so excited to see Osaka Castle on that day, visiting some of museum, and absolutely trying the famous Street Food from Japan that we might already know about it. Yess, i'm talking about Takoyaki as one of my favorite snack food.

Does anyone doesn't know what is Takoyaki? lemme explain it, Takoyaki  (たこ焼き)  is a Japanese snack in the shape of little round balls containing pieces of octopus. It literally known as "Octopus Balls" or " Octopus Dumplings" If you know.

It was originates in Osaka in 1935 and became so populer in other area of Japan. How is it? It's so yummy, yet so mouthwatering even you just starring at. They are really crispy outside, crunchy and gooey inside, therefore you have to eat them when they served as hot as hell. Anyway Takoyaki was made from flavor batter, crispy scraps of tempura, green onion and on the top their sprinkle with dried green seaweed with japanese bbq or Eel sauce (sweet sauce) mixed with Japanaese mayo. It's so heaven.  In case you don't like Takoyaki and alergic with seafood, they have Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) I can say it's look like Japanese pancake vesion with some egg and vegetables, including seafood ingredients, but you can order without seafood stuff, it's so fresh and they cook live in front of you, so you can smell it. What do I recommend? I love both of them, as you can see on the picture below.

So, How to get this famous street food? you mean the best one? I could say that Takoyaki in Osaka Castle and Dotonburi area is one of the places to visit and try, I did a couple time in Shibuya and Kyoto, but I though it was xoxo. When I tried this one, it's so different, we have a different taste, but it's only my opinion cause we can so easy to find this stuff. At least you can see how tempting this octopus balls.
